How to install IPv6 on dial-up-networking.

I've been searching around here but I didn't see any thing about this, so I'll just ask here.

How do I install IPv6 protocol on my DUN ? I have it on my other network connection, but I just can't seem to be able to install it on the DUN itself. Clicking install and point it to the INF folders won't help cos it's just not there.

Any help ?

IPV6 is yet to be actively used anywhere, most network problems can be helped by disabling it, whilst it might not accurately answer the question the point is that you simply don't need it yet and wont until xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx addressing comes into effect.

Well, I'm not trying to be rude here, but, obviously the reason I'm asking this is because I need it. I wouldn't be asking around and turning the google up'side'down looking for ways to have it installed if there's no need for it, would I ?

And yes, the 1234.afdf.afda.afdf.afdf.afdf. is here, and widely used already.

Oh, thank you for your help and the links. I'm actually running on SP3.

The thing is that all my other connection such as lan and wifi already have IPV6 installed(on the same laptop), it's just the DUN that doesn't have it. It's not there when I clicked "install new protocol" in the DUN. Any idea why ?

Unfortunately, it's that long since I had DUN, I can't remember much about it.

My machines, all running SP3, it is showing and as you say it was simply a case of adding the protocol.

If it is installed, it ought to be showing up in the properties of the connection .
In fact if I remember rightly, installing it on one connection, meant it was available on all connections on the same machine.

It might be that it's not available for DUN or requires a different method of installation. Sorry, that's as much as I know.
